Why see Rick Wakeman - Six Wives + King Arthur?

Yes Star

This autumn, prog-rock icon Rick Wakeman CBE and the English Rock Ensemble bring a show that brought the house down at the London Palladium on tour around the UK, as well as a return to the Palladium. Performing music from two of his most celebrated albums, The Six Wives of Henry VIII and The Myths and Legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, alongside a selection of Yes hits, this is a legend playing prog-rock at its finest!

1973's The Six Wives of Henry VIII and 1975's The Myths and Legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table were two groundbreaking albums which defined prog-rock in their day and remain masterworks in their scale, even more so when considering they were conceived, recorded and released at the same time he was at the height of Yes' fame. With a band featuring Dave Colquhoun, Adam Falkner, Lee Pomeroy, Adam Wakeman and vocalist Mollie Marriott, hear two epic suites of music that captivated a generation.

The only irk for me was a little bit of muddied sound During some of the music the backing vocals of trio of girls sometimes got lost in the mix. Altogether though a great evening out. ... Read more
