Where to begin with John Cleese? A true comedy legend, Cleese practised his comedy chops on the UK's satirical show The Frost Report in the 1960s before co-founding Monty Python. Surreal, anarchic, and totally original, the sketch troop enjoyed enormous success the world over, and caused a huge storm of controversy with their movie Life of Brian. Post-Python, Cleese has created numerous iconic shows and characters, from A Fish Called Wanda, for which he received an Oscar nomination, to his bumbling hotel manager, Basil Fawlty.
